I am so excited to share this makeover/renovation with you guys!! This was a huge labor of love for my husband and I! Months of hard work and planning have finally paid off! I am so in love with our new patio space. I literally sit out there everyday!
Before this patio was DARK, cluttered, full of hand me downs and failed DIY projects, and just plain outdated! Our house has a milk chocolate brown vinyl siding that I have hated from the day we bought the place. But, I had always envisioned it farmhouse white and 3 years and lots of research later, I finally had the courage to spray paint it myself. I had decided the patio was the best place to start!
The first thing I did was paint the siding and the ceiling white. (Pure White by Sherwin Williams). I also gave the concrete a fresh coat of grey paint. What a HUGE difference!! I was already in love!
We then cased in the existing metal beams and posts with cedar and added new grey shutters (Gauntlet Grey by Sherwin Williams). We took down the old ceiling fan since the ceilings are way too low to have a fan without chopping someone's head off lol. We replaced it with an industrial semi flush mount light.
From there, we put up roller screens on each side to help block out sun and bad weather. (Lowes)
And then came the fun part...Decorating!!
The tv console is from NFM. I love the barn doors and the shelving inside provides so much storage for pool towels and supplies.
This wing back wicker accent chair is from Pier One and my husband loves that a tall guy like himself can sit so comfortably in it!
The outdoor sectional is from Wayfair and the pillows are from random places such as Stein Mart, At Home, Target, and Tuesday Morning.
The accent table is from Home Goods and the Rug is from Wayfair.
The vintage ceiling tiles and botanical print are from The Frisco Mercantile and the Lake Wisdom sign is from Home Goods. I stumbled across this sign one day and when I saw it had our last name on it, I just had to have it!
This giant beautiful windmill clock is from Kirklands.
My hubby made this table completely from reclaimed wood and the black metal benches and chairs are from Target.
My candle chandelier is from Hobby Lobby and it has flameless candles for a warm glow.
I can't tell you what a difference it is to spend time having dinner as a family at this table, watch a movie at night on the couch, take a nap, or even do some occasional work outside! It has become such a warm, inviting space that everyone wants to hang out in!
Awesome job with the patio renovation. I've been looking to redo my patio because it looks old and dreary, yet I don't know where to start. These photos of the renovation has given me plenty of inspiration for redoing my patio. I hope I can do just as good of a job on my patio as you did on yours.
