Playroom: Before and After!

Check out this before and after! I know kid spaces can be full of toys and things accumulated over the years, but there are ways to keep things clean and organized! I love being able to give my clients the push they need to get rid of un-used items and get things cleaned up! This Playroom turned out so cute and cozy!

How adorable is this Farmers Market stand? This was a custom piece I did for my client's 2 little girls! Not only does it look cute, but it is multi-functional for play and storage!

This sofa is actually a sleeper so the playroom can now double as a guest room! These ottomans also open for more toy storage!

I love having an area to display kids' crafts as art in a Playroom!

Books can always be decor in any space! Just play with placement! Place a few standing tall, laying flat, and even backwards with pages showing!

Of course no playroom is complete without a custom scrabble sign by The Board Brunette!

My favorite part about being a decorator is when I get an update from my client a few months after I have completed a project, and they tell me that it has been so easy to keep things clean and organized. And there is a sense of pride in their home now that makes them actually want to keep the space looking that way! Best compliment ever!

A New Home Gets Some Finishing Touches!

Remember this gorgeous Indigo living room? Well, my clients recently moved into a new home and while the all the decor for this room fit perfectly into the new house, the rest of the house needed a little love! So, they hired me to add some finishing touches to a few more rooms in the house! Check it out!

Shabby Chic Girls Room

  I love a little shabby chic, so when my client asked me to design her daughter's bedroom in that style, I was so excited! The pale colors, soft texture, and lightness make for such a calming space. Perfect for a bedroom!

I used rustic antique finds like this one over the bed for a vintage feel.

These distressed metal side tables add that perfect shabby chic touch!

For me, decorating is all about layering pattern and texture, especially when it comes to bedding. I did a quatrefoil sheet set, a textured quilt, an embroidered sham, and a ruffled throw pillow.

I added these cute little fabric flowers to the corner of the mirror for a fun girly touch!

This lucky girl has an on-suite bath, so we carried the same theme into there!

How adorable is this towel rack?

I added new hardware on all the cabinets for a custom look.

The Before and After Tour of our Fixer Upper!

Our fixer upper story has been 2 whole years in the making and believe me, it is far from finished! But, we LOVE our little house in the country. I am so excited to finally be able to share before and after photos of (almost) the entire house! Most of the before pics are from the actual listing when we bought the house! I hope you can see the heart and soul that was poured into each and every inch of our home!

{Living Room}

Most of our home is painted Morris Room Grey by Sherwin Williams.

{Kitchen}

Check out those knotty pine cabinets with Texas star knobs! Yee-haw!

{Dining}

The island is painted Frostwork by Sherwin Williams

{Master Bedroom}

The paint color in our Master is Austere Grey by Sherwin Williams. It is a very green shade of grey.

Would you believe that dresser was only $150 from Ikea? It came completely unfinished and after a little stain, spray paint, and new hardware, it looks like a million bucks!
That dreamy sign was a gift to us from my sister @theboardbrunette (check out her incredible handy work on Instagram!)
We decided to use the idea of a barn door as the door into our bathroom, but when we came across this antique door we fell in love! So, we used the barn door hardware to hang it!

{Master Bathroom}

{Guest Bathroom}

I don't technically have any before pics of the guest bathroom, because to us, this room is still in its before state. We plan to completely gut and renovate this by next summer so stay tuned!

Pictures of my boys' bedrooms coming soon!!
