Friday Favorites #7!!!

Almay's New Liquid Lip Balm
Of course anytime I see the word NEW! on the makeup stands at the store, I have to give it a try! I don't normally wear a lot of Almay products, but I picked up this gloss in the shade Rose Lipped and loved it! It is the perfect pink/nude color and it goes on pretty sheer. It has an awesome smooth, not sticky gloss formula. I have been loving this for a month or so now and I definitely want to pick up some other colors!!

Revlon 24hour ColorStay Foundation
If you are a fan of a full coverage foundation, this is definitely a must try! This is such a great foundation for the price! It runs about $10 at drugstores. It has a flawless finish and is very buildable. It also looks beautiful on camera! This is my go-to foundation right now for a night out and meetings with clients! Pair this with Smashbox's primer and you're makeup will not budge All. Day. Long!

I came across these Veggie Straw snacks at Costco when I was looking for healthy snacks to pack in my son's school lunch. I have to admit, even I was scared to try them lol. Crunchy zucchini, carrot, and potato snacks aren't exactly my cup of tea. But, I finally just tried one, and fell in love instantly. It is now one of my go-to snacks during the day as well! My son loves them too! It makes you feel so much better about snacking when choosing a healthier option like this and when it tastes like these do, well that's just a huge bonus!

While browsing through my Facebook feed this week, I saw a sponsored post for Target's new coupon app called Cartwheel. I immediately downloaded the app to see what it was all about. (I am a sucker for anything Target!) I started searching through the coupons and I was amazed at what I could be saving! Most items are things I was already going to purchase, but they were 20-30% off with the app! All you have to do is click the items you think you might buy, it saves them all in one folder, and generates ONE coupon bar code. You have the cashier scan the barcode at checkout and it takes off all of your discounts at one time! How awesome is that!? It's free so download it NOW!

I know a few weeks back I talked about the Maybelline brow pencil I was loving, and I do still love it, but I ran out so I thought it was time to try something new. I have really been wanting to try the Anastasia brow wiz from Ulta, but it is $28 just for the pencil and $22 for the brow gel. $50 for brows...Uh maybe not! So when I was using my Target Cartwheel app, I found out that all Pixi eye products were 20% off with the coupon and I had been eyeing this pencil, gel duo for a few weeks. It is normally $18, but I got $3.50 off just for scanning my app coupon! I have never seen this brand on sale or a coupon for it, so the app was totally worth it just for this one purchase alone!
I tried it yesterday and I love how natural it looks! The color is a medium tone brown and the pencil has a great angle to it. The gel is slightly tinted and helps to keep those unruly brow hairs in place! Great buy!

I hope you enjoyed this weeks favorites! If you get a chance to try any of these products, please let me know what you think!

Friday Favorites! #6

This Smashbox Primer is amazing for evening skin tone and minimizing pores. It is soooo silky to the touch and feels amazing on the face. But, most of all, it preps your skin for foundation and keeps it looking amazing ALL day long! The full size bottle of this primer is pretty spendy, but you can get the mini travel size for $10 (normally by the checkout counter at Ulta and Sephora) and it will last you months!

I have been excited all week to tell you guys about this foundation!! Let me first start by saying that since I started wearing makeup, I have had a fear of powder. I never used it because I always thought it would make my face look dry, cakey, and well, powdery! But I saw this new foundation from Lo'real and I thought I would at least give it a try...
It. Is. Amazing! It is so light weight that I feel like I'm not wearing any makeup at all! It is a thin liquid that almost immediately dries into a powder like formula. Although sheer and lightweight, the coverage is amazing. I still apply it with my flat top kabuki brush and then add a small second coat only in the places that need slightly more coverage. My only complaint about this product is the pour top bottle. I really wish all foundations came with a pump!
**Tip: When buying foundation, try to match it as closely to your neck as possible. Don't match it your wrist, don't get it in a shade darker to make yourself look more tan, and remember, you can return it if it doesn't match or you don't like it! It is only $9 at Kroger Stores and $12 at CVS
Try it and let me know what you think!

This blush, Frat Boy by The Balm was on special on Haute Look a few weeks ago. It was over half off so I just had to try it being that I love all The Balm products! And lets face it, I'm obsessed! The color pay off is incredible. I barely tap my brush in the powder and it is covered in more than enough product! The color is a beautiful pinkish peach shade that would look beautiful on anyone!

I stumbled across these little chalkboard labels on Pinterest last week when I was so fed up with the mess of spices in my pantry! I had over 40 bottles of random spices on the top shelf of my pantry. I couldn't see what I had, some were beyond expired, and they took up a ton of space. So, I decided to buy small spice jars from Ikea (these are 4 for $3.99).
I typed in my own spices on these labels (the program is already set up for you when you follow this link), printed them, cut them out, and stuck them to the tops of each jar. I then put them in the drawer next to the stove.
Ahhhhh organization is good for the soul!
Here is the link so you can make your own labels!!

Here is my drawer of spices now!!!

This one is for all of the mommas out there who are fed up with the "spill proof" sippy cup that is definitely NOT spill proof! I can't tell you how many cups I have been through that I still end up cleaning up after! When I was shopping for my sons Kids Day Out supplies, I came across these Playtex Disney sippy cups. I let Liam pick out the characters he wanted to make it fun for him (he went with Cars and Mickey...lol) But the best part, THEY DON'T SPILL!!! They are also insulated to stay cold! I believe I paid about $6 each. Well worth it!

And to follow the sippy cups... we were instructed to have our child's name on everything they would be bringing to school. Of course the lazy part of me said, ok, ill write on the bottom with a sharpie. Then I thought, NO! I am going to do something cute and special for Liam! So, I found these Orbit Labels online at www.inchbug.com. You pick the color and style you want and they will stamp 4 labels with your child's info and ship them to you! It is around $12 for 4 labels! They arrived yesterday and I am so happy with them, I just had to put them on my Friday Favorites list!

Here is a quick pic I took of Liam's so you could see it!

Friday Favorties!! #4

This has become my new favorite brush and way to apply flawless foundation! It is the Flat Top Kabuki Blending Foundation Brush from Eco Tools. I purchased mine at Ulta for under $10!
I first place small dots of my foundation all over my face and then use this brush in circular motions to blend it all in. I then repeat the process by dabbing a few more dots all around my face and then I use the brush in a stippling motion to really push the foundation into my pores. This second step helps to not only build up your foundation for a more full coverage look, but it is the key to a smooth foundation finish!

This is the toner I have been using during my night time skin care routine. It is the H20 Waterwhite Advanced Brightening Toner. I found this little gem at TJ Maxx for only $5.99!! They have an awesome skincare section and it is my new favorite place to search for new products to try!
I soak a small cotton round in the toner and then rub it all over my face. It smells so fresh and clean and leaves my skin feeling tingly and refreshed! It also helps to grab any remaining makeup that my remover and cleanser didn't get! I honestly have noticed my skin looking brighter and healthier in just a few weeks of using this product!

These EOS lip balms are my new favorite way to moisturize my lips. They cost around $2.99 and are available at most drug stores. They come in all kinds of amazing colors and flavors too! I got mine at Target in the checkout isle. I am currently using Pomegranate. The shape is perfect for easy application and it coats your lips perfectly. I apply this every night before bed and after only 2 weeks, my lips are softer than ever! LOVE IT!

Ok, so this is the odd ball of the bunch this week since I normally focus more on skincare, cosmetics, and décor, but this was a must to share about. This is the newest craze for teaching your toddler to swim. It goes over the arms, around the chest, and then buckles in the back. I purchased this one at Target for only $19.99. It was the BEST $20 I EVER spent!
It keeps my little guys head straight up (unlike vests that tend to dip forward and shove up into their faces). After only 5 min, my son was swimming around the pool all by himself with this thing! He did not care to hold on to someone or the edge of the pool. He is only 27 months too! I recommend this to all of you mommies and daddies out there who are trying to teach your kids to swim or just want to play in the pool. You won't regret this purchase!!

Last, but certainly not least, the lip lacquer made famous by the one and only Kim Kardashian. (OK, I know we are not all fans of hers, but you can't deny her beauty or her fabulous makeup!) This NARS lip lacquer is in color Chelsea Girls and I have fallen head over heels in love. I splurged on this one after debating over it for months. You can buy NARS at Sephora and Nordstrom, as well as online. These pots are around $25. I know what you're thinking, $25 for lip gloss? Are you nuts? Yes, a little. LOL. But this is the most perfect shade of nude/pink and the formula is amazing. It is like butter! It goes on like a gloss, but has the pigmentation of a lipstick. I truly believe this color would look good on just about everyone and it will last you a very long time! Unless you become as obsessed as I am and you want to wear it every day lol.

**I am not paid by any of these brands to try or talk about these products. These are my own opinions.
